Welcome to Log Stop. We are farmers based in East Kent who supply barn dried, seasoned hardwood logs for your multi - fuel stoves, wood burners and open fires. All our firewood is sourced from sustainable local woodland.
We only produce logs from sustainable locally sourced hardwood, currently Beech, Ash and Hornbeam.
We process the logs on our farm in East Kent during September to March. We store those logs for approximately 9 to 12 months in an “airy” barn to season. Seasoning reduces the moisture content of the wood, the longer it is seasoned the better the fuel.
We are proud to say our logs are a top quality, cost effective alternative fuel source. The logs are suitable for open fires, wood burning stoves & wood fired ovens. Our logs are typically 8 – 12 inches in length.
Using logs as a fuel has a number of benefits. Firstly, contrary to what many people think burning wood or logs can be environmentally beneficial. Much of the woodland in the UK is semi-natural woodland and benefits from being managed. Secondly, providing the wood comes from a sustainable source, wood is a source of renewable energy. Using wood logs as a fuel also benefits the rural economy by providing local employment and an opportunity for diversification for farmers and other landowners.
